Thanks Dawn. That's quite a nice selection of birds. Of course I was wondering
about, but not really expecting, Golden-wings just yet.

Deb. Oh sorry, typo in the field. Many birds already on territory. Blue-wings,
Prairies, Brewster’s, Hooded, Worm-eating, LA Waterthrush, Chestnut-sided,
Hooded, and more. My list from today is on eBird. No Golden-wings yet, at least
that I saw. Still a very enjoyable day.

The previously reported Golden-winged Warbler on closer inspection at very
close range is a male Brewster's Warbler. Backcross adult male. Thin black
eye line, bright yellow cap, clean white underbelly and double yellow wing
bars. Lilly Pond Preserve.

You could try but it depends on the enforcement level in your area. In my area
enforcement of ATV law is minimal
Birds rise above it all

In the tug hill region while it is not legal to ride ROWs Enforcement is
lacking Usually owners of land retain all other rights other than those they
cede to the power company. If so they can prohibit trespass if they wish but
few do.!Based on my experience most ATV and snowmobile operators feel
Many what?

Another brief update to some migrant birds in Manhattan - Please note, there is
a widespread program in N.Y. City now to distribute FREE face-masks to anyone
who requests, and this is happening around (among other areas) larger parks of
the city, with the N.Y.P.D., Urban Parks Rangers, & others
I’m birding today on the power line off Ironwood Road at Sterling Forest. Many.
It’s already on territory, but I’m competing with some guys riding their ATVs
up and down the right-of-way. Is this legal?

On Saturday May 2, a Summer Tanager and Blue Grosbeak were found along the
entrance to Field 3 of Robert Moses State Park and NOT the golf course as
indicated by our ebird report. We were unable to re-find either of these birds
after our initial sighting.
