I'm not sure what I did, but the OTB Learning functions are working great
from within QGIS Processing Toolbox. I hope to make some demonstration
videos to demonstrate more of the machine learning functionality in OTB so
that a GIS Ninja can understand it.
Windows 10. QGIS 2.18.5. OTB 6.2.0.
I'm working through this problem myself with Windows 10 QGIS 2.18.5.
I am running the SVM, but getting a sequence of errors.
Fist error was the "sample.edg". Then reading through this thread, I was
able to get through that error, but now I get the "ERROR: Parameter

Hi Manuel,
I figured the problem out because, as Monika, I am a newbie. I was also
trying to run a classification task using the Random Forest algorithm.
Is there any "standard" dataset to use (a sort of HelloWorld) for
calibrating our installation (OS/Otb version/QGis etc...) ?
Thanks

Hi,
you're right the sample.edg parameter has been removed in otb 5.10. The
descriptor in QGIS should be updated accordingly.
I've opened an issue on otb-qgis github repo:

Thanks a lot for your feedback.

Thanks for the tip! Unchecking 'On edge pixel inclusion' worked for me.
There was a warning that otbApplicationLauncherCommandLine.exe stopped
working and the program has to be terminated but after that everything
turned out fine, I think... I had to use the *batch mode*, because when I
Hello Monika,
I'm experiencing the same issue as you. Have you found a solution ?
Unchecking the option box named 'On edge pixel inclusion' seem to partially
solve the ERROR you mention.
I am running OTB from QGIS on Linux Ubuntu Xenial.
