Good thing I did a quick search, I almost started a new thread for this.
I'm on XP, running slimserver 6.3.1 on an Infrant NAS box, with
softsqueeze 3.2.1 and Java 1.6 also. I guess the proper authorities
will catch this?

There are a number of issues:
1. If you only find Radio Ulster under Listen Again then it looks like
you haven't enabled it as I described earlier. It makes little
difference except the Listen Again menu content is controlled by the
BBC so items will move.
Try again to enable radio Ulster
2. Th
External firewall needed to be adjusted.
Thanks anyway

Hi,
I am running v6.5b1 on Windows XP and trying to install the Sirius
plugin. I downloaded and installed as per the instructions. I have
verified the username and password; increased internet radio timeout
from 5 to 20. Ensured the "built-in" Windows Media Player option was
unchecked. When
With AlienBBC you do not need the URL.
Once you have Radio Ulster enabled - then from the Slimserver top level
menu (either Web or SB) under Internet Radio there is a menu item
AlienBBC.
Select AlienBBC and then you will have a list of many BBC stations -
the normal BBC R1-R7 etc. but at the end
I keep getting ERROR CANNOT CONNECT TO RETRIEVE PLAYLIST
Any ideas?

Hi Everyone
Really new to this and I have searched the forum prior to posting but
unable to sort my problem !
I want to listen to Radio Ulster. Now Alien BBC says in its one of the
stations disabled by default, but I cannot make head nor tale of how to
nake it work on my 1 day old Squeezebox !
Any updates? I'd really like to try the asterisk plugin, but it
definately does not work with current rev. slimserver!

Thanks Danco.
'Checking stream' (or similar) comes up as I try to connect to Listen
Live and archived programs, but nothing happens beyond that.
I've already upped the radio timeout to 90.
I've never used terminal before, but perhaps I should try what you
suggest.

I assumed you have tried to play the stream on a SB with WMA built -in
enabled because you only need Mplayer if you are using
* SoftSqueeze
* the stream is not using the http protocol (I think)
* the stream uses the WMA speech codec
So if you a have stream URL that only playu with mplayer - pos
