test packages, and I noticed today that pkg-build seems to be barfing on
it in such a way that is causing its dependencies to have issues, too.

As such library upgrades can cause breakage, it would be best to do it
right after the release. That way we have a full release cycle to
discover and fix any issues that may arise.
