I think you currently have to goto the Settings/Advanced/Applet
Installer menu and check if any applet is marked as "(Updates)".
You can register an enhancement request at http://bugs.slimdevices.com
that describes that you would like to somehow be notified in similar
was as in the web interface.
I get a notification on the SBS webpage GUI when an updated plug-in is
available for my other devices (Boom/SB3). With the radio they are all
handled at the radio level and not the server level - apart from
checking how else do you know a new version is available?
Do you have to keep reading the

I don't know what it is, but the 1 and 2 button don't want anything
under them. 3,4,5 and 6 are more willing. How can I solve this. I hold
the 1 button when it plays a radiostation and the display shows an
announcement that it's stored under number 1. But it isn't.

Hi! Just suggesting a simple new feature for the SB Radio and Touch and
even SBS. It would be nice if there was some visual way of knowing
which podcasts you have already listened to, and which were new. A
little tick or something maybe on the list...?
Would anyone else find this a useful enhance
.. you know what I may dust of my programming and have a crack !
The other point I think I should have made is that the selected alarm
sound should not be dependent on network connectivity.

Yes I have. No as long ago as your February order (which is almost
unbelieveable for a major corporation like Logitech). I have read some
other threads about this since my post & it's almost like a 'mom & pop'
company. No stock, no estimated dates, no idea of when might be a
possibility.

Well, I ordered mine on Feb 25, got the shipping notice on it last week,
and finally got it (standard slow UPS ground) on Tuesday. All set up
and working.
It's unclear from your post - have you already ordered the accessory
pack?

After reading MickeyG's post from the 2nd of March & then calling today
to inquire about the status of my order for a Squeezebox Radio
Accessory Pack I am starting to feel like I have been scammed.
MickeyG's post said "I can promise to do what I can to make them
available as soon as possible" on
Whenever I visit the inlaws, I grab my Radio from work, and take it
along with me. It remembers the network name at the inlaws as well as
the key and is online as soon as I plug it in.
So, um, yeah it drops Wifi when I unplug it and toss it in the car for
a couple hours. It comes right back wh
Mnyb is correct. That reviewer is either a moron or has a very whacky
network.
I move my Boom & Radio all the time, plug them in, they automatically
goes through their regular network setup, 30 seconds tops to playing
music again.

And note that if you are trying to rollback to the firmware that
corresponds to SBS 7.4.2 (which on the Radio would be r8423), if you

I have two Squeezebox radios. The first one I bought last November. I

I noticed that the radio is using the mysqueezebox.com server in
Vermont, VA - could this be because I'm using 7.51? Is it supposed to
be beta? Because the web-interface is still handled via
mysqueezebox.com and not test.mysqueezebox.com as with the betas
before.

Not necessarily - there are 7.5.1 updates as well if the OP is running
SBS 7.5.1.

Hi,
Received my Radio today and impressed very nice package :)
I was concerned that it would be low on the sound front compared to
buying a Boom but its perfect for casual listening to music while you
work etc. running at only about 40% volume level.
Installation was pretty simple, seemed to do

- uninstall current SBS Server software
- install whatever SBS version you wish (Radio requires 7.4.0 or
higher)
- connect player to SBS server
- update (downgrade) FW version

None of the SB players, including Radio, have the ability to see or
respond to web/server screens at public access points.
So having to select "acceptance of terms" or "click here to continue"
cannot be accomplished by the player.
You might be able to connect your Radio to a laptop, laptop clicks
I guess to help it would be good to know at least the firmware-version
