Go with what ya got brother, go with what ya got. You got it made, why not
use it for a bit before throwing it away? If it becomes an issue, you can
always laminate!

Unfortunately, I live in a barren wasteland rather far from the Expo.
Perhaps some day in my life I shall attend...
Some day RC Tank Combat will have its own TV show on the Tri-Pact Network. .
. .
That will be the day. . . .
You'll be famous!

I'm not sure about the swing arms, but looking at the T-35's suspension,
what types of springs do you plan to use? Honestly they appear to be rather
long on the real tank. Do you have some sort of pneumatic shocks to go
inside the springs?
Nice work!

north and being my birthday tomorrow, the wife making all of these
plans and gas costing an arm and leg. I cant make it. I'd give
anything to see some video coverage though.

Build it, test it, break it, replace it. Nothing beats real world
engineering... except for that pesky calculation stuff... but i don't
know enough of that (and what i did i'm starting to forget). Guess
thats why i left engineering school.

Hi Aahz
I use myself 16 gage steel so I can give a guess out of experience, im not an
engineer.
I would say your 8 sets will hold the weight very well, until the tank climb on
a rock and
most of his weight is on only one set. I would be afraid in such a case the
metal will bend.

I am continuing to work on my suspension and I'm a bit worried. The
weight of this tank is a lot higher than I originally planned on, in
excess of 200lbs if my estimates are correct. If the swing arms of my
suspension are made of 16 gauge steel will they hold? The arms look like

To be honest Phil when I first read your post , my heart sank. However
you have every right to build what you wish and far be it for me ( or
anyone else ) to tell you what to do.
If you do get these soldiers to work effectively then they
