Hello all. We have a cross band repeater (Midland 100W VHF low w/ 1W VHF high
band repeater built in).
What we noticed is that in the High Band -- Low Band direction, the high band
side will receive the signal, then the low band Tx will key up to repeat the
signal. Normally, all works just
You might want to post the frequencies.

Hello all. We
A few questions to which the answers would be extremely helpful:
* What are the frequencies in question?
* Are they harmonically related?
* How much vertical separation is there between the two antennas on the
tower?
* Are they directly one above the other?
* What is the gain of the two antennas?
I have a 605TQ that I sometimes run cross-band during emergency services

My view is that a crossband repeater is not a simplex repeater. If you
are going to operate in the Amateur Radio bands, you can use a dual-band
transceiver with the cross-band repeat function, such as Alinco's
DR-605T. In the commercial bands, you can use Link Communications'
TCB-1 Tactical
and use 400Mc on
one side of the mountain and 145Mc on the other side.
