Hi, We have Samba version 3.5.4 and we are using winbind (Active Directory) for authorisation. The issue is that for most of the members of a Samba share it is not possible to connect this Samba share. This because of the error below. It seems to be that the number of Active Directory groups

According to your page "getent passwd" is showing the domain users. If you try to ssh into your linux machine as "ben", with the way nsswitch.conf is configured, it will try to authenticated you as the "ben" in /etc/passwd not the one in the AD domain. I suggest you try the following
