1). I never set DNS in Mandrake never seen a reason to for PPP let the
ISP set it. I also use kppp and initiate kppp from Mandrake Control
Center under "Network and Internet" (you can also set you host name here
if you select expert mode under DrakConnect). If your using a user

Problem is that Mandrake uses some weird setting for ppp and dial up
I've used RedHat 8.0 for quite a well with no problem.
Yesterday my mate lent me a copy of Mandrake 9.1 and i
decided to install it on my machine. All went well,
easy installation and configuration (maybe too easy),
then i found 2 major problem (so far)
1. I can't use internet. I use a normal dial
