Got a problem when I tried to log in on Pidgin.(got Linux)
The message say: Our protocol is not supported by the server.
What to do??
My protocol is MSN and server is messenger.hotmail.com
Whats wrong? Loged in yesterday without any problems, but not today :(

I want to reinstall Ubuntu because he's really slow by now. I try to find
the .purple directory or the file you say but after severall minutes trying
to find it... nothing.
Where are these files or folder?

Thanks for your rapid answer. The computer I want to reinstall is now on
Ubuntu 8.04 - Hardy Heron (April 2008) and I don't find anything in my
personnal folder or the files you tell me... Sorry. I want to reinstall
the same Ubuntu. I maybe tried to don't give enough informations for you

That assumes he is running pidgin as root, or worse that the platform on
which he is running doesn't encourage the creation of unprivileged
users. Root should be root.
