There has been some discussion as to whether Felix Limo, listed as finishing second in
the Brussels 10K, had actually been lapped. Part of the reasoning, obviously, is that
Felix apparently did not have the credentials to be running anywhere near the front of

It's four, not three. (IAAF Rule 130.1) The same specification is found

long races and specifying that no lap scorer was supposed to be
responsible for more than 3 runners?

It was my understanding that runners had been wearing computer chips in the
bibs this season in the big Euro meets, hence the impressive "distance
behind" split for the runners in the lead pack that had been coming through
each lap on the TV coverage (at least the UK version being shown
downunder)
