Hi,
Just finished creating relations for all the provinces.
To answer Mannings email.
Well done you found one of my deliberate mistakes :-)
Actually I have no real idea which islands belong to which provinces. Feel free
to move them from one relation to another.

Hi, another tip if you record more than one track, is photographing your
hand whilst holding up the number of fingers to match the track number at
the start of every track. This way when you get home it's easy to see which
photo's belong to which track.
As this method of geotagging is using the d
Hi,
You probably know this already, but I only discovered it a few weeks ago.
I knew if you had a digital camera with GPS that you could load pictures
from it into JOSM and the would apear at the correct location on the map.
What I did not realize was that you can also use a digital camera even

Hi,
I've just updated the Territorial border for the Philippines.
I used the map available here :
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Ph_Territorial_Map.png
I don't know how to make this png a background in JOSM, so I just did a best
guess for the points.
Hopefully I haven't messed up the relatio
Hi,

Alright, does this mean you will not do a bulk upload?
Editors will use your OSM file as a reference and then decide whe

the islands you don't want uploaded are.
Of course we don't have to upload this data if it's not wanted, I have no
problem letting people go on drawing the coastlines by hand.

Hi,
I have the PGS coastline import just about ready to upload.
My suggestions about doing this are :
1 Everyone stops working on the coastline until the upload is complete.
2 When Cloudmade does its next update for the Philippines. Download this file
and tag all the current coastline data wit
Hi,
I am working on importing the almien coastline data for the Philippines.
At the moment all the ways are split into about 10 segements.
What I would like to be able to do is select one way and have all the ways
connected to this way automatically combined into the first way.
for instance :
But, at least the Osmarender is now correct, no more flooding

Sorry,

I think using country specific tags like "barangay" will cause problems with
people who use the data.
As a hypothetical example, suppose someone wanted to list all the villages in
the osm database. If all the different countries used a different name for
village, such a sim
In an effort to reduce the number of secondary roads, which seem to overwhelm
the map, I have reduced the level of some roads in an area I have mapped from
secondary to tertiary.
These roads are all inside gated communities, but when using the maps for
navigation, this is not obvious. By reduci
