Looks cool, never heard of this one before. Will certainly give this a go
for Local DE Virtualisation. It may not be suitable for a headless instance,
managed remotely via SSH or other. Headless qemu-kvm sounds

I use gnome-boxes on top of qemu-kvm for simple virtualization on Trisquel.
Faster virtualization and much simpler to setup than Virtualbox or VMWare
Player.
I still manage several workstations in my lab. I plan to replace the
originally installed Mint with Trisquel 8.
The standard Trisquel installer with MATE should be good. Though I don't
actually need a DE, some students may have difficulties with the terminal.
Thanks again both.
I have a few more questions on the Server front:
I currently have a ZFS pool running in another server-type machine that I
would ideally move over as-is. Is it possible to run ZFS (OpenZFS) under
Trisquel?

Aha, I missed that option! Does this allow you to choose which components
you want/need to install when run?

It sounds like you'd be best of with the netinstall. It's the fourth option on
the download[1] page.

Evening all,
As the result of a cheeky offer I now have an Asus Motherboard + 2x CPU's on
the way to me in the post. Once this arrives, the board will get Librebooted
and fitted into it's new home as my main 'home lab' server.
In terms of using Trisquel as a 'Server' OS, can you recommend
