I second Nasim Bhai. You should request Nokia for linux-supported
applications. The more they know about the Linux users the more they will
concern about the necessities of nokia-linux users. That's how Adobe and EA
games are interested in Ubuntu recent days.
- You can send nokia an email at store
Since you are a loyal user to Nokia, you should file a bug report to
Nokia. If you want a Nokia software, you need to ask them. Let them
hear that there are lots of Nokia users who are Linux users on the
desktop, hence a Linux version of the PC Suite is required.

There has plenty. Gammu, gnokii, gnome-phone-manager, xgnokii, KMobileTools.
None of this worked for my Symbian S60V3 phone. But urs is not Symbian. May
be it will work.
Anyway, I use syncevolution to sync with Evolution, OBexTool and

Dear Arafat
I don't know nothing about OVI mail not delivering mail to gmail or gmail in

So there is nothing to worry about using OVI mail as I know.

Thanks Ring vaia. Ovi gives more than email. I have already backed up
my contacts! I like ovi's service. I also used ovi to mail at ubuntu

don't go to the right way. So i am now from gmail. I think now my mail

Mr. Arafat
You are using OVI mail. That service will also allow you to backup your
contacts from your phone to the web. That is a very safe way to backup on
the web. Moreover windows viruses makes your memory card slow and heavy. The

Hi,
Use Gmail instead of Ovi Mail. Go to m.gmail.com from ur mobile. Download
the Gmail apps. It should support ur cell model. Even it does not support, u
can always use, mobile site of Gmail from m.gmail.com. Which is pretty fast.
It´s quite annoying, four emails same topics but different subjects
Hello, thanks a lot for the replies.:-) Yes, i know that nokia 2700 does not
use a smart OS. So virus can not run in it. But some days ago, when i used
windows 7, then i connected my phone in "mass storage" mode, and browsed the
"MEMORY CARD" of that phone. After removing from usb, i noticed tha

I am getting confused of the total idea. Does Nokia PC Suite has a built in
Anti-Virus? If not, then how it can prevent viruses not being copied? Only
possible thing is it can prevent the autorun.inf files being copied like it

Ok, it is linux, but my phone file system is not linux. So that can be affected
by virus- if there any virus exists in my hard disc. Isn't it?

Why do you need a file browser? Just connect your phone with *Data Storage
mode*, you will find your phone mobile filesystem as a removable drive.
