This is my first upstream kernel bug.
I've prepared a draft of a report in the kernel.org format, but I am not sure
what to put in the following paragraphs:

Downloaded Live-image of alpha 2 of Ubuntu Gnome Edition.
Run it from usb.
Then upgraded using:
$sudo apt-get dist-upgrade
And then got those errors stating that linux-image failed to install.

I have tested both Precise and Quantal using live-images. The issue is
reproducible on both.
