We got this one on a machine after a fresh update from lucid-proposed.
None of the usual workaround (reconfiguring, reinstalling udev) fixed
the situation. Only a complete rebuild of the initramfs images did the
trick.

This is an issues where a default set of activities are install as .deb
packages while the user can install additional activities as xo bundles

Hello I have this problem too.
My hardware is an Core2 Duo 2GHz Intel Mobile, 2GByte RAM, ATI Mobile GPU.
Using Ubuntu 10.04, PiTiVi from actual package repository.
Tried to combine 2 DV-Videos (PAL, 48Khz Audio) and a background soundtrack.
When a clip starts and ends (overlapping and with a

I found part of the solution for the error
netdiscovery: relocation error: /lib/libnss_files.so.2: symbol __rawmemchr,
version GLIBC_2.2.5 not defined in file libc.so.6 with link time reference
I renamed the file /lib/libnss_files.so.2 like so:
cd /lib
mv libnss_files.so.2
If you start amsn from terminal with this command it seems to work:

My problem is still current - I can only boot into a working X desktop
if I add
i915.modeset=0 xforcevesa
to the grub boot command. Sometimes the screen is garbled at the login
prompt and I need to CTRL-ALT-F1, login to the shell, restart gdm, then
logout again, at which point the screen is

with this. Did you ever get this crash again? Do you have a way to
reproduce this?

Okay. Then you have the 12d1:1446, which saw only minor changes within the usb-
modeswitch-data package history (only the TargetProductList got altered). I
guess that the problem is somewhere in usb-modeswitch.

Public bug reported:
When I insert a non-protected DVD, I'm offered to launch movie player to
play it. When it starts up, it offers to search for a plugin, but that
search fails to find the right plugin. I tried enabling the other
repositories by hand first, and it still fails.
