Binary package hint: software-center
As you can see from the screenshot, the "Recommended" section in Ubuntu
Software Center is not tall enough to fit all application names. This
doesn't make Software Center unusable, but disrupts the user experience.

Got it working; had to remove the driver via jockey, reinstall compiz,
re-enable the driver via jockey, reboot & re-enable 'Visual Effects -
Extra', and reset the compiz settings via the compiz settings manager. I
now get the expected compiz bells & whistles (rotating desktops etc.,

Sound recording does not work in acer One, like muted but it isn't.
As far as I understand, it was working but too as low input level; after
I enter in sound preferences and increse input level in sound control it
stop working, doesn't rec.
