Since lucid (and still in maverick, but not in karmic), one issue in our
internal issue tracker fails to display, apparently due to a date that

I see that gnome-wm chooses compiz when `xdpyinfo` contains Composite
, so I'm also attaching the output of xdpyinfo for that card that indeed
contains Composite.
So if Composite is enough to run compiz, maybe then it's a bug in the
UniChrome module or in compiz itself?

Can you please tell us what file extension the executable you used had
and while filesystem is on you usb drive? There was a change in the
default mount options for vfat that restricts executable permissions to
windows executable files for the windows FAT file system a while ago:

And I forgot to add that the error doesn't happen every time.
When it happens, I can sudo apt-get update again, and most of the time the
error doesn't occur.

Following the instructions as graciously compiled by Johanna in comment
#94 has restored the right button functionality on my Hp Pavilion
dv7-4073nr under Ubuntu 10.10 (which disappeared when upgrading from
10.04 like others have noted). I still have random movements as my palm
brushes the pad,
This does not appear to happen any more in maverick, so maybe this one
can be closed.

This is a problem in gexiv2, the metadata library Shotwell uses. It's
highly possible this has been fixed in trunk. Is it possible for you to
build trunk and test again? Information for doing so is available at
