No menus in Unity after upgr
This looks good, though this is quite a lot of code changes (and
refactoring) for a bug without a clear reproduction scenario. Would it
be possible to, along with the verification to be done by the reporting
person, perform some sanity runs to make sure the cancel/cleanup parts
of the code did not

sony vaio ultrabook (i5-9400u, 4gb, intel haswell-ULT)
and on boot I see

The older kernel with rtw88 8723de support is 5.0 based linux-oem-osp1
kernel. Can you please install it from bionic-updates repo, and see if
both WiFi and Bluetooth work?
