My statement regarding hibernation was wrong. It *is* possible to
hibernate one OS while using another and then later resume back into the

ISO 2011-07-01), because it uses xdg-open, which in turn requires gnome-
open, to launch the application associated with a certain file type.

This was not the original bug report, however. Given that the launcher
should not hide when scale is activated, the bug is that the launcher
obscures windows in scale mode, as shown in the original screenshot. In

I can now reproduce this issue. It is not specific to any hardware
difference between MBP1,1 and MBP6,2. I can reproduce it when I use the
(default) key to summon Unity (the Super key). I generally use
Ctrl+space to summon Unity, and that is my current workaround; this

This happens when running xmodmap manually or letting Gnome run it. But
I think Compiz (and Unity) loads before Gnome.
I tested this by setting Ctrl+space to summon Unity and logging in
