Having the same issue. Script asus-touchpad.sh is called when pressing
special key, but nothing happens. With some debugging I found $XINPUTNUM
remains empty. When running script from console and getXconsole is
disabled everything works fine... Maybe this information helps resolving
this issue.

- I open a web page needing flash plugin (I never installed any flash plugin
since the installation)
- Firefox give me the choice between Adobe flash plugin (non free) and Gnash

The problem :
I think many people had never read the content of the Help provided by the
system with "yelp".
This help contents a lot of useful information for a new user (like "how to
install new software" etc), and I'm sure the ones who need those informations
don't know
I talk about opening it at the first boot only and the target is a person
who don't know anything about computer and just want to use his new system.
So, how do you explain that every day, people come on IRC or forums asking
how to install a new software after his ubuntu is installed ?

- After a fresh install from Feisty, upgraded to Gutsy, I install
flashplugin-nonfree from Firefox (visiting a web page using flash and clicking
on the "install plugin" button.

Same for me,
I have installed just about any Ubuntu release or alpha you can name,
alternative, or desktop versions.
I can install them correctly, having the
"PCI: Cannot allocate resource region 3 of device :03:00.0" answer
but anyway, i get a GRUB error 21 while loading.
I've even tried
