lsusb does find it, but I can't select it. When I go to

I'm just speaking from my own experience. I have WD drives in play and they
don't seem impacted at all, only the Seagates. As for other with issues, I
don't recall if those were related or not. With the new PSU, the problem
pretty much went away for almost 2 months, but has since resurfaced. I

current draws. I don't really have the equipment to measure this
properly though.

In gnome-terminal under Maverick, if I open a file in vim or less and
scroll down the file by holding down the "j" key, it is slow and choppy.
If I do the same thing in an xterm, it scrolls quickly. This was not a

Additional hardware shows up in the Sound Preferences before the
Plantronics USB audio device is plugged in. This appears to be because
the snd_hda_code
Mumble does allow me to turn speech off, but it starts up
speech-dispatch anyway when it starts. For now, I'm just killing
speech-dispatch after I start mumble, although speech-dispatch doesn't
always consume all the cpu time.
