This also affects me. I have a Samsung N220 netbook. On Lucid it works
perfectly, but on Natty I get really slow connection, even though the
bars appear to be fine.
Using cabled LAN works fast.

Same problem here (Ubuntu 9.10 x64).
I'm not a hardware expert, but I'll say my experience:
I see that it's like it starts to transfer really fast, and then it
slows down and down and down, I guess it has something to do with the
sync, as if I sync after transferring each file the overall result
Maybe it has to do with the "Capacity": I right-click on the battery
icon, go to "Power History" and it gives me a "Capacity" of 53%. But I'm
pretty sure in Jaunty the battery had much more duration

I seem to have the same problem, the "Update to this" message you've sent I
think it's because the system has to learn how long your battery lasts before
giving accurate results.

Ok, this time while the debugging was running the system instead of
logging out just freezes. I've tried CTRL ALT BKSP without success, and
writing "cont" in the SSH Debug console, without succes, had to do a
hard press...
