I've just upgraded to KDE 3.5.5 and now when I try to configure the cups
server with systemsettings it crashes and I can see with top that cupsd
use all the system ressources (~95% of my CPU) the only way to stop that
is to kill it using "kill -9 PID-of-cupsd"

- Scan the network
- click the network group of your computer to see your computer's name
- go back
- choose guest login
- click on the name of your computer
- click on your printer's name

I did it!
I tried to manually copy the /etc/event.d/ files that are in the upstart
package to /etc/event.d (because reinstalling upstart didn't work) after doing
this and reboot all works good!
I've still a few questions:
- Why sysvinit don't present the same problem?
- How to detect over corrupt
I'm using ext3 on my / and /home but recently I've lost my partitions (i was
playing with testdisk) I have restored them but now with anyy partition soft
i've "Error: Can't have overlapping partitions." (I'm too lazy to save my
system and format the harddrive)
maybe these files where overwrited?

Same problem: and after rebooting, kde don't start at all!
when I try to run kdeinit i get this error:
undefined symbol: _ZThn148_N10QPopupMenu10updateItemEi
and my .xsession-errors is full of this too.
