Good thinking. I would say openbox --replace is probably alot cleaner
than the .xsession script, as the script seems to fill up ~/.xsession-
errors with messages. You could even put openbox --replace in Gnome's
Startup Applications and just launch a normal Gnome session. Thanks!

minicom continually resizes gnome-terminal in jaunty
I'm having this problem as well, in Jaunty final release.
If one has gnome-terminal maximised, minicom continually tries to
resize, but can't because the window is maximised, so just appears to
blink very rapidly.
I can use minicom in stjerm (another vte-based terminal app) at any size

What Mikel means is that this fix should be out of -proposed and into
the main intrepid branch, so you don't have to run the -proposed kernel
or -backports modules.
I avoid running -proposed updates unless there's a package I
specifically know I need, I've had other things break in the past.

I am not shure what motherboard I have but I seam to have the same
problem. I doul-boot windows, so my grub menu comes up every time I
boot. If I select Ubuntu right away. my floppy disk light stays on until

I've applied the -8-generic kernel and backport modules from -proposed.
It solves the constant scheduling from the idle thread! but I still
got one scheduling while atomic, and a couple of attaching NULL
sched-domains.
I haven't tried it after a resume, I'll do that tonight. dmesg logs
attached.
Same thing happened to me today. Dell Vostro 1200 laptop with Ubuntu
8.10, which I upgraded from Hardy.
At the time, GDM was running but my Gnome\Openbox session wasn't logged
in. I did have rtorrent running inside a screen, which I'd started via
ssh, detached and logged off the ssh session.

It seems 'xkbset m' and Ctrl+Alt+Shift+Numlock both toggle mousekeys on
the numpad. I imagine most laptop users wouldn't see this behaviour, due
to their integrated Fn+ key numpads. A sideffect for me is that Ins0
Numpad5 and Numpad+ become right click whilst this state is active.

This error happens when I am trying to start autorunning scripts from a
removable media drive. It can be any script that's named autorun.sh.
For instance, on my backup drive I had an rsync script that I wanted to
autorun. So, I named it autorun.sh. As planned the dialog box asking
