I notice that both this issue and the one in lp:1813140 were both seen
on the same P9 system ("baltar"). Can this be reproduced on any other P9

In "Software & Updates", under the "Additional Drivers" tab, I tried
both "Using NVIDIA driver metapackage from nvidia-driver-470
(proprietary, tested)" and "Using NVIDIA driver metapackage from nvidia-
driver-460 (proprietary)". Neither worked.

If you are having build issues related to the e2e_test binary I bet it
is because it uses a separate go.mod from the main binary. Both binaries
do build fine at each tag though, but if you are not using e2e tests I
would suggest just skipping building that binary.

This is for sure caused by the python3 installation. I get the same
issue on my machine with a local Python 3.9 installation, which I needed
since Ubuntu 16.04 only gets 3.5 from aptitude.

Installer crashes after "copying files" stage and at beginning of "installing"
stage.
When Slideshow is removed or otherwise not displayed, crash will occur.
