When I was trying to reproduce this (running aptitude in gnome-

Metacity. The behaviour seems consistent.

Still getting this problem on 8.10 with Firefox 3.0.5+nobinonly-
0ubuntu0.8.10.1, Compiz 1:0.7.8-0ubuntu4.1 and Xorg 1:7.4~5ubuntu3.
Perhaps Ubuntu needs to replace the default throbber with a simpler one
until this issue is resolved.

I've never experienced anything like this issue on my Dell Mini 9 with

Launchpad doesn't seem to have voting ability like Bugzilla, so I will

I didn't understand why the icon changed, the other one was clear and
looked rather good. The new one is ambiguous at best, you -have- to
hover over it to have any clue what it's talking about.

I would like to confirm this problem in edgy. I'm using a BCM4318 with
bcm43xx driver, Ubuntu kernel 2.6.17.10-generic.
If I enable Wireless SSID Broadcast on my router, I'm able to connect to
it easily with Network Manager. If I enter the information manually,
however, it doesn't work. My rout
