I had the same problem when upgrading from 14.04 -> 14.10 and then again from 14.10 -> 15.04. My solution -which I found somewhere in the web- was the same both times: Simply delete(!) /etc/bluetooth/audio.conf (or rename it) and restart the bluetooth service. At least this worked for me. -- You

I couldn't switch from headset to ad2p mode (have Sockets disabled). I accidently found out that by clicking the 'mute' button on Logitech headset, it automatically switched to ad2p. There are now two entries for the headset in pavucontrol/configuration. Both say "Logitech Wireless Headset".
