Can you confirm whether this is still an issue in natty?

Sorry, hopefully someone else can chime in and help here regarding the
status of themes, and/or how to work around this. Multiple people are
running 0.22, and it shouldn't matter that most are probably on 9.10.
Questions I have about this:

Ok, I installed mythbuntu 9.04 on a separate partition. After checking
that the problem still exists, I added the ppa mythtv repository and
updated all packages that were available for updating.
However, now neither mythtv-setup or mythfrontend will not start
anymore:

Sure - a first step would certainly be to subscribe to the weekly
0.21-fixes as described on the web page above, and 9.04 includes newer
openchrome drivers. If it is fixed, there, then it is likely fixed on
0.22. If not, upstream would only be interested if this is still
occuring 0.22 though. Yo
Marc, you are probably right that this is a better time to get this bug
fixed than after the release has been made. Your suggestion to try this
in a VM is not workable (I think) because the problem lies with specific
hardware support. I doubt that there is any VM that virtualizes the
cle266 graphic
We all appreciate the effort you've spent on this so far in trying to
help improve MythTV (and Mythbuntu). Unfortunately, the developers
upstream have stopped focusing on 0.21 and older reports in preparation
for a 0.22 release later this year. And as you saw, branch changes must
be relatively lo
After spending quite some time investigating this issue, with the
conclusion that changes in the way XvMC VLD is used in mythtv is the
likely source of this problem. The fact that xine runs smoothly also
indicates in this direction. The message "Unable to create XvMC
Surface." is actually harmless

task. If anyone feels that this is not correct, please revert this.
