I have the same problem on a thinkpad t61p with NVIDIA's drivers, and a
quadro FX570M card. On the 2nd screen windows freeze (sometimes they
start frozen). Many apps kill X. I think some app is getting overtaxed
as it seems like everything is very slow. Resizing a moving windows is

attachment seems to incorrectly tell the window manager about the size
of the second screen: you can't move windows (like an xterm) to the far
right of the second screen (somewhere in the middle, it stops your

This new xorg.conf does not crash. It's however not a bugfix but rather
a workaround (also, a standard Ubuntu will not install this xorg.conf
and it's hard to find or know how to get this working correctly).
