I had the same problem on my Sony Vaio P. Tried several USB sticks and
all available boot disk creators on Windows and Linux. 9.04 worked
created on 9.04.
The solution:
Add memmap=1K#0x7f80 to the Boot Options on startup. Therefore press ESC as

I've had this issue with the Beta netbook build and with the daily
netbook build as of today (26th September 2010). I've used multiple USB
keys and written the image with both Imagewriter and Startup Disk
Creator and it fails this same way with every permutation. I'm running
an Acer Aspire One ZG5,
