intel xorg "tearfree" option and have kwins vsync disabled, which works
but has poor performance and higher power draw. This is a really big

Like I said, processing the results from the GPU hang kills apport's GPU
reporting module. Every time it tries to process the log files for
packaging into a bug report, it dies. Then I get a bug report for apport
itself to file--and I think I did, in fact. Unsurprisingly, like all (?)

@aleritty, unfortunately, setting the profile to "low" does not always
work. On my laptop this results in severe graphic corruption.

Ok, disabling all desktop effects seems to alleviate this issue mostly.
However I discovered that resizing lxterm always results in the same
crash. Here is lspci if that is helpful.

I guess I could be more clear. Resizing lxterm results in a crash even
with desktop effects off.
