I have t41 too. But it's working fine with compositing. It has radeon 7100

This ubuntu system 8.10 has mysql server 5.0.67 installed. The most
recent mysql 5.0 version is 5.0.87. However running...
sudo apt-get install mysql-server-5.0
elicits the response:
mysql-server-5.0 is already the latest version
which isn't so. How do I fix this?

Hi,
Hard hang on ThinkPad T41 on Karmic Koala. Probably other "older"
systems.
The current default "Change Desktop Background"->"Visual Effects"
in Karmic is "Normal".
On my ThinkPad T41, the Karmic version overwhelms the machine

On my ThinkPad T41, the Karmic version overwhelms the machine

'simple-ccsm' is very simple to use configuration utility for compiz.
It must be shipped by default with Ubuntu.

I know there are ways to achieve this under GNOME but it's not at all easy
to get it perfect and neither is it obvious. Additionally some widgets
require the same treatment that are not currently theme able. Web pages for
example need to have the background colour to work, and there might be a way

With ubuntu 9.10 alpha (with wubi) was ok...
Can someone help me?
Thanks

Hi,
I'm developping a GUI using PyQt4, Qt4 and qt designer.
I ask my question here because my bug seems to be specific to ubuntu 8.04
PyQt4 version. I hope asking my question in the good list.
My widget in designer (see attach) use a GridLayout.
I use pyuic4 (pyqt4-devel-tools) to generate dynami
