Nowadays most of the TV program allows the viewer to rate their program by sending sms i.e saying the viewers to type "vote a" and send sms to some number say 5657 to vote for team A . My question is how thing works ? what is that 5657 represents mobile phone or computer ? what are all the protoc

You can see which partition on each disk is marked as bootable from the fdisk outout i.e. the one with '*'. 1. When you say (hd0,1) it means 1st partition on 0th hard disk. So in your case you will have to specify (hd1,1). 2. You can see that root partition of your installation is specified with U
