I think its time for me to upgrade to a newer version. I would like a fresh

Does anyone know if i can install Linux Mint ( from a usb drive) ?
All i have to do is set the periperal as first boot right?
Out of interest how many people here prefer mint over the normal ubuntu
flavour?

You can use unetbootin (which is cross platform) to copy an iso to a
USB stick and make it all nicely bootable. So long as your

You can't just copy an iso to the USB stick. It needs to be unpacked
in a certain way, hence me suggesting you use unetbootin.

I use mint (have for a bout a year) and yes you can install it from a
usb drive just like Ubuntu.

I have to say that I didn't like Mint at all... took me ages to
reconfigure it so that it reverted to, effectively, a default Ubuntu.
In terms of Linux I think I'm a Ubuntu man through and through - not
really sure what Mint is trying to do but it's not my thing I'm
afraid.
