Maarten, I have checked with the new onboard ("bzr branch lp:onboard")
now on an up-to-date Saucy with xserver packages from the x-staging PPA
and I do not get a stuck-mouse-button effect any more.

It is just one bug, something hangs the GPU forcing us to use expensive
fallbacks. Everything following the hang is us trying to keep the system
ticking over with a dead GPU.
To work out what is hanging the GPU, we need the
/sys/kernel/debug/dri/0/i915_error_state file.

I updated to Fedora 19, using xorg 1.14.2 and ATI catalyst driver 13.6
beta, and this problem finally seems to be solved on my hardware. The
release notes for the driver do indicate a bunch of fixes related to
power management. Can anyone else confirm?

More than a month ago the ubuntu updates broke modes that used to work
on my external monitor, SyncMaster SA350. I manually add 1920x1080@60Hz
just to get it to work.
none of the selected modes were compatible with the possible modes:

I can confirm as well. I updated the intel drivers and I have a desktop
on 13.04. I'm using an HP Pavilion G4 2123 TX (Intel/AMD hybrid AMD
Radeon HD 7600M). I can also confirm that dual head does not work at
all (glitchy/flickering screen).

In my case, every once in a while the screen freezes and the keyboard
and mouse stop responding. This lasts for about 0.5-5 sec, and then
activity resumes as normal. Makes usage of the computer very
incovenient. Cannot confirm 100%, but it looks like it is linked to
heavy processor usage.

Yes I've done some "experimental work"...I'm running Windows Xp and Ubuntu
on the machine but I guess this should not cause any problem. And yes I've
tried to setup Ubuntu to run Windows applications from Ubuntu but failed
