Sorry, I forgot to mention that even Base is usable without Java. Most of the Java additions do not add any functionality of importance and the *embedded* HSQLDB is not worth trying anyway. Important: HyperSQL as a stand-alone database is mature, best breed Java software and extremely useful. W
