I've figured out how to use "cross-references" fields. That seems to do what
I need.

I think the solution is in the use of fields. I confess I have little
understanding of them, and the help resources frankly aren't very helpful.
Can someone suggest how I can set up a field where the output is copied to
the same field in other places of the document?
