Hi everyone,

Also, could someone share the names of the products that work with the Ring
app? I am interested in one that will let me talk to someone at my door. Video
would be nice too. Thanks very much for sharing all of this helpful information.

Hi Brandon,
My neighbor put the lanyard on for me. I'm sorry, but I don't know how he did
it. I have seen the two little holes on other small cases that say they can
have a lanyard attached and I don't know how this process works. I wish I could
be of help.

Hi Everyone,
Does the ring Doorbell app allow you to speak to the person outside the door so
that you can find out who it is before you open the door? Just wanted to make
sure before I bought one.
Thanks very much.

Hi Janet,
Seeing AI has a Light Detector item in its menu and it works well. You flick
right till you are on the menu and then flick up through menu options till you
come to the light detector. Sorry the Light detector app isn't working. I have
used it a few days ago and it still worked for me.
Hi Mark,
Do you use these three apps all at the same time or do you choose the one that
works best in a given area?
Thanks much.

Dear Julian,
It is working! I have installed Nearby Explorer and the map download is 80%
complete. Thank you so much for responding to my email. I know a number of
people as well as me who will be delighted. I can't thank you enough! My
national maps just downloaded and now Kentucky is 100% down
Hello Julian,
Oh, I am going to try this now! I had no idea that this might be possible.
Thank you for your instructions. I'll let you all know if it works.

Mark, I totally agree with you. One of the saddest mistakes I ever made was
uninstalling Nearby Explorer from my iPhone. GoodMaps sometimes gives street
names and sometimes not and also is selective about announcing POIs. Sometimes
it does and sometimes it doesn't for no reason that I can figure
My thanks to all of you for your responses! I am glad that my info was not
accurate and that I can look into step counting using the iPhone with
confidence.
You all rock.

Hi everyone,
I have heard that the iPhone and other step-counting hardware adds steps if one
taps one’s feet or uses a keyboard. If so, how can you hope to get a reasonably
accurate step count or measurement of distance walked? I would appreciate
advice on whether the iPhone adds steps wen th
Hi Cristóbal and everyone,
For those of you who have used the Bluetooth Instant Pot, did you have to
update your IOS to the latest version and did you have to update the Instant
Pot app? Thanks for your guidance. I can't wait to use my Bluetooth Instant Pot

Hi Tony,
I think you are marvelously creative and very intuitive to think of these apps.
I love the idea of using your compass app to walk a straight line across a very
wide open area. This is brilliant. Thank you so much for your work!

Hello everyone,
I am looking for an accurate Bluetooth scale with an accessible app for the
iPhone. I only care about my weight. I don't need body composition or other
information. But I do want a scale that can be accurate within 2 tenths of a
pound. Is anyone using a scale with these features? I
Hi Dennis and everyone,
Below is what I bought from Amazon. I do sometimes get the message “This
accessory may not be supported by this device.” However, when I then unplug the
cable and plug it in again, I usually don’t get that message again. Another

Hi everyone,
I love the Apple battery cases, but I have had problems with the case for the
iPhone 7. This is the case the Apple store sold me to be used with the iPhone

to charge very sporadically. The cable would c
Oh my goodness, I love this! Not only because of how you present it, but also
because I do need to help a sighted person occasionally and with this I will

GoodMaps Explorer does do outdoors. I just installed it and looked at POIs from

its tabs at the bottom of the screen; they make sense to me. It is a free

Thanks, Richard. I wonder if Seeing AI or another app could read the numbers on
the digital display? I realize you don’t know this, just thinking out loud.
