Greg wrote: Markus Nikolai 'Bushes (Freaks Turning Yellow Speakeasy)' [Perlon] Is this the same mix as is on the Farina san fran sessions release? Also, can anyone tell me if this bushes track is on the LP release? I've tried to search for it and nothing lists the tracks on the LP release. I've heard one mix of this song onperlin, and frankly I don't like it, but the mix on the farina CD is pretty smooth. I'm not familiar with the Farina mix-CD, and I don't have the Markus Nikolai LP... but I do know of four other versions of the 'Bushes' track. The first house mix of the track came out on the 'Superlongevity' 2LP various artists comp. (Perlon 10). This version is simply entitled 'Bushes' and is a nice Herbert/Cologne-styled house track, built around guitar and vocal loops. Markus Nikolai's 'Passion' 12 (Perlon 12) has three more mixes of the track. 'Bushes (Zero Volt)' is a short acoustic pop-song (presumably where all the samples/vocals have been taken for the house mixes). 'Bushes (Freaks Turning Yellow Speakeasy)' is a house remix by Justin Harris and Luke Solomon... which lays most of the original vocals over a new catchy arrangement. 'Bushes (Freaks in Outer Space Dub)' is an instrumental version of the first Harris/Solomon mix... with a slightly different arrangement. hope this helps! ~Askew __ Get Your Private, Free Email at http://www.hotmail.com
Betr.: (313) Art of Dance/'Without'
I know that the infamous DJ Plusminus has this one. Ask him yourself: [EMAIL PROTECTED] W Tom Churchill [EMAIL PROTECTED] 09-01-2000 2:54:42 Just to clear this up once and for all :) Richard [EMAIL PROTECTED]: It was released on Art of Dance back in '96 (i think) the matrix is: ART-2002. It's got four tracks on it with the logo on both sides; no track info. More?? info at: http://www.sonicgroove.com/results.phtml?label=Art+Of+Dance Does anyone out there have more info about track names and such??
Betr.: Re: (313) Epic Techno
Was there an ART-2001?? Really interested to know! I recall an interview with Kenny Larkin in which he stated that the first release of War Of the Worlds was a limited edition (300 pieces) clear vinyl pressing on Art Of Dance. Maybe that's ART-2001? He did that one especially for a WMC meeting I think. This is before the Transmat 18 release. W

Please be advised that reacting to statements like yours we have cancelled the release of the coverversion. Meanwhile the producers of the remake have signed a deal with BMG / Ariola. Re: Betr.: (313) Art of Dance/'Without'
I had a promo copy of this CD and after playing it about 4 or 5 times it simply didnt play anymore. It was like the CD erased itself. It did not play on _any_ of my stereos. wierd. diana From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] To: 313@hyperreal.org Subject: Re: Betr.: (313) Art of Dance/'Without' Date: Mon, 10 Jan 2000 03:05:27 EST Aother peice of trivia on the Art of Dance release of Without. Did you all know there is a bonus track on the CD (that's not available on the vinyl LP) which is an ambient version of Without, beatless and soulful deep accompanying sounds of the main melody accompanied by Kevin's smooth vocals (tribute to legendaries...) and syncopated keyboard meanderings. This track is not listed on the CD - it just pops up after the last track. To somewhat close this first chapter on Epic Techno - another masssive track deserves special mention Biodream - Dream Sequence 1 (Experimental 17).
