NAD-Distant drums
There's a german (bootleg) electro comp. called Kranke musique ist schon (limited to 500 copies), and there's a track on the second volume (nr.2), from a group called NAD, and their track featured is Distant drums. Anyone know the original release, label it was released, year or anything? What group was/is it? It's an amazing track, with a feel kinda VLADIMIR M on Eevo-lute, same kind of spoken narration of tomorrow's armageddon, distant drums etc... Backed with a funky 909-snare pattern, sweeping analogue pad and a monotonous horn-stab that really puts the track in a classic Chicago-sounding league. Though I don't think it's from Chicago. I thought it (NAD) could be some industrial-project or something... Any suggestions? -Proffit Get Your Private, Free E-mail from MSN Hotmail at http://www.hotmail.com

Re: (313) sharivari
Dan Sicko wrote a passage about this track in Techno Rebels. If my memory serves me correctly, the group went in for a radio appearance as yet unnamed. When the dj asked them for their names, they responded in turn with each of their names. Rather then list their names on air, he introduced them as A Number of Names. Or something to that effect. You can get a copy on vinyl on the Juan Atkins mix album. dan In a message dated 4/21/00 5:41:22 PM Pacific Daylight Time, [EMAIL PROTECTED] writes: We need all information on the producer who made the track called 'Sharivari'. Is this also his name? who is he, where is he from, why did he make such music? Is he still alive? what are his whereabouts? -Yes, clue me in as well. It seems my trainspotting superpowers are still very undeveloped. I have seen this track cited as either 1981 or '82 on Quality records. But I have seen numerous spellings, and i have seen artist cited as either A Number of Names or as same as track title. Why is there so much misinformation on this track? (and who wants to sell me their copy?)...
