That's funny as I know Mr Hell hates trance!! Like Jaguar I can see how it
could be, er, appropriated! The Miss Kittin mix is definitely NOT trance.
It's real cool, has an 80s feel and probably is most true to the Gigolo
style.

Central Station has ventured out of late - as I say the Sunkids records are
very nice, and the kind of thing you may hear in a Chicago house set. Chance
is a garage singer who sounds so like Aretha it's frightening. She sings on
the Chicago Tribune ads for all those in the Windy City.

They have had a few anomalies of late - eg Chance & The Sunkids garage
diamonds. There's a big article on Zomie Nation in Jockey Slut (Oct) with
their millionth (or sumthin') Dave Clarke article. For a man with such a
profound distaste for journalists/the media he does a lot. Everyone (I know
with taste) is raving about the new DJ Hell Fuse mix-CD. He is among my
favourite DJs. Check it out.

This IS a hi-nrg/rave/house hit. Its weird, but here in Holland its been on all
the
poppy trance compilations and all the mullets were playing it on their
scooterbikes during the summer.
The same thing is going to happen with Jaguar during this winter.
This is going to happen with a lot more music we feel is "ours".

Is this wrong?

No!
Cause we can now all buy big mansions and start collecting cars. Just as I have
bought 'the Sagatarius', a 1957 ex
dutch airforce Sabre jet fighter today to put in my garden. All with a pay
cheque from my label. I'll have pictures online soon!

peace.

I just got this record - Zombie Nation's Kernkraft 400, which came out
originally on International Deejay Gigolo Records and has been licensed by
Central Station here. It's a very Germanic electro track, very gigolo style.
There is a great remix by Miss Kittin & The Hacker with a female voice (Miss
K) dropping shout outs to everywhere from Detroit to Munich and all those
down with the Zombie Nation, from Drexicya and Hell to Elvis (!). Great
synth layers. Has anyone heard it? It's really cool - and funny!

K-Hand info

2000-10-29 Thread FC3 Richards
i have a CD that was made in Belgium that is a compilation of techno from
97. It is called "A Rave Experience"
it has lots of good detroit stuff on it, but the track i am curious about is
the K-Hand remix of a group called the Party Crasher, or something like
that. i can't remember the name of the track, but it has a vocal sample
where a guy is saying "Your place, or mine, cummon"
what i am wondering is if there is a copy of this floating around out there.
What label is it on, and is it out of print. I would really like to get a
copy of this and would pay good money for it. if someone has a copy of it
feel free to e-mail me in private.

Has anyone here got it yet? I Bought a "blue

Side B's got a serious Derrick May-connection with the
Nude Photo-laughter and a not entirely disssimilar
cycling synthline. Then there's a Rhythim Is
Rhythim-like bassline on the next track. It's a
double-vinyl(eight tracks, like pt1) and it's great.

Re: [313] Re: (313) heiko laux

2000-10-29 Thread M. Todd Smith
The closest Heiko ever came to the BC sound was the
No Gain No Pain RMXS (i22009), and I don't even think it was him that
utilized the grittier sounds (I think it was the Mike Ink and Villalobos
mixes) Heiko produces really clean sounding stuff, with the exception of
that Souldancer
record which to me is by far his best work.

Liquidism was the worst Kanzleramt LP at the time when it was released (I
think Johannes Heils triple LP is much worse at least if you want to call it
techno).

If you want to find some good classic Heiko, grab up any i220 before 10,
and the old school street stuff as well. i220 has released some great stuff
after 10, but it is more electro oriented now. The sensefiction rmxs are
great too! Part 1 & Part 2 have great rmxers (the rmx tracks are much better
than the actual tracks (kinda like Sven Vath))
Part 3 comes out in a couple of weeks.

Cheers
Todd
