Re: [313] Titonton LP/CD
hi, i don't know if it's the same one that i picked up, but i picked up a 2x12" by Titonton Duvante (in an orange sleeve, i can't remember the title right now) from Recordtime already. it is GREAT, IMO, no make that really great. 1 hard song on there, and the rest is just really beautiful techno. WELL worth the $21 i bought it for (ouch). Re: [313] FW: [313] X-Mix tracklist = Free Herbert CD
I'd just like to add that I'm not upset that Studio K7 overlooked sending me a copy of X-Mix 3 on vinyl. I didn't realize they even did a vinyl version for that back then and since I had most of those releases already on vinyl I never asked. Don't forget, when this series was started it was originally only for a VHS video release. The deal was license the track for free and get a free video made. A fair deal and I loved the video they gave me. If I had a dollar for every time I've walked into a club and seen that video on I may have enough to put out a new CD myself. Great exposure nonetheless. Laurent's mix was so great that, they only then started releasing CD's and vinyl and paying royalties. Of all the 3rd Party licensing I have done over the years I've been very impressed with Stud!o K7's accounting. Always on time and always surprisingly substantial. I'm very proud to have been apart of 2 prestigious projects that continue to consistently sell and I'm happy that they are still in print. Re: [313] Detroit-Toronto by bus (?)
Hello- >Last year I've heard something about a festival in Toronto the weekend after the DEMF. Is there going to be something similar this year?< I know there was a free street party called something like The First House on the Block Party. It used to be thrown by Industry nightclub, but since the club closed I don't know if somebody else is picking it up. I remember heading to Toronto a few years ago to see Mills, and on the way back to our hotel from record shopping we heard a subtle 4/4 beat, which got louder as we walked. At the end of the rainbow we found David Morales and Miss Honey Dijon playing for free in the middle of a huge street party. Not sure if this is the festival you are talking about, but this used to be held on Memorial Day weekend also. Cheers, John

Where can I get the "Hypercity" mix cd from Andrew Weatherall on Force Tracks? The website says the release date was April 17 but the it's not in their online store. I've also heard May 1 and May 15 from various sources. Anybody willing to clear this up? I'm really looking foraward to hearing this. Possibly it's been released in Europe and not here in the U.S. yet?

I know Mr. 154 is on the list, but I hadn't heard 'Mayflower' until I saw it on one of the video mixes. Having been a devout Eevo Lute fan, and initial missing this one, I soon went and picked it up. Simply, a beautiful piece of music. Does anyone know if the Eevo stuff will be re-pressed? I'm missing a Vladimir M, and a Key Processor release which I would love to get my hands on. Hi list, A couple of days after the festival the Belgian technotourist delegation is heading towards Toronto. We are thinking about taking the bus from Detroit or from Windsor to Toronto. What is the best way to go about this? I think we'll probably leave from Windsor we get to see that as well. Would Greyhound be the best option? X-Mix tracklist = Free Herbert CD
Hi, I'm looking for the tracklists of X-Mix 2, and X-Mix 3 on vinyl that's Laurent, and Rich and John. And just to make digging through the dusty crates worth the hayfever, I'll send the people with the first verifiably correct responses a copy of the new Herbert CD, Bodily Functions. Oh the tracklist MUST include: artist, track and label info. There might be some problems with the label info since I've seen it missing on the videos. Thanks!! Tosh

It's abit of an odd one this. I've got the 1st three Hot Lizard releases, & he remixed the 1st one as Love From San Fransisco, then was part of Hot Lizard on the next 2. other than that, was it because he was the sound engineer for Network Records subsidiary, Kool Kat, when Neil Rushton was in charge? or less likely, he has had a release on Happy (No. 6) TTFN, -- Tom Lawton

Oh, i abosolutely love the series that was released on Schatrax. He did a series of 10 (the 10th being a gatefold 2 12" pack) 12"'s & 1 album, in about 3 years, then closed the label down & moved to Barcelona. He then did one single on Peacefrog "Clap Yo Hands", and has recently re- opened Schatrax as a label & has released 2 12's so far. Re: [313] Jori Hulkkonen
Another Jori Hulkkonen release very much worth hunting down is Bobby Forrester - 'Love you forever' on Plumphouse from 1997. There were also remixes in '98 on Plumphouse and in '99 and EP on EC Records called 'She loox different', but the first Plumphouse release is still my favourite. Otto

OK list.. this is from Jason himself... From: Jason Martin <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Sent: Saturday, April 28, 2001 5:21 PM Subject: offworld/tim jackiw : hey list.. : : I got fwd'ed a few 313 mails on the tim jackiw record so I thought I'd : drop in and let interested ppl know a little bit about it.. : : tim and I started "offworld music" in 97, put out the one record by tim : (500 copies) then for a whole bunch of reasons (mostly to do with dodgy : industry people) we didnt do any more with it although future releases : were mastered and ready to go.. : : offworld 001 : tim jackiw - science of sound ep : : side a: no destination : side b: archeus : waves : : although we'd been using the name for a long time before the record : came out, it came to my attention later on that "offworld" had become a : pretty popular name - another label in australia later starting using : the same name, as does one based I think in LA, and also 2 others in : the UK.. Kirk deGiorgio has started using it for some of his projects : lately too.. : : for those interested tim's material will surface again, he has a wealth : of material stockpiled from over the years and it is simply a matter : of "getting it out there".. if anyone wants any more info about it : feel free to drop me a line at the below email address.. : : : see you all at DEMF anyway... : : peace : jason : [EMAIL PROTECTED] : : :

From: Matt MacQueen <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> : > that's kinda ironic, cos Offworld was a UK-based distributor which ran a : > label of the same name... although to be fair i'm not sure if the Offworld : > you mention is the same one or not. : as far as I know this is NOT the same Offworld! THe Offworld in : question is from Australia, and this was the only release I ever : saw on this label, I think it was a debut and then the label : folded? Jason Martin is connected somehow. it was jason's label... the label folded thanks to some shonkiness that was no fault of jasons. jason had the second release on a burnt CD for sometime (another excellent body of tracks from tim) then some bastards broke into his house and stole it (along with the usual shit). i can confirm that JM will be at DEMF .. Re: [313] Fw: [313] Charles Webster/313
I've got a Sueno Latino remix with one side the D. May and the other being Charles Webster. How's that for tying in two threads into one.
