Re: [313] dodgy Canton promoters
Well... To offer a counterpoint to Mr. Giannelli, I've worked with Planetraver quite a bit and have had no problems with them. Period. For other references, speak with Disco D, Minx, DJ Seoul, Eclipse (Greg Montgomery), Wilhelm K, and Laura Hardgrove. This was but one unfortunate situation of theirs. Christian Bloch, Ryan Brogan, DJ Godfather, Disco D, myself, G-Major, and Derek Plaslaiko (among others) were all at the last TechMoto Fest and I got paid for my services without a problem. BTW, Planet Raver is/was not the sole promoter of this event. Just had to get that out. ++ velcro fastener rocked openair with deep dope niceness the sound mix was one of the best for electro live p.a. i've ever heard. what is going on when the sound in a club is thick and loud and good, but you can talk to someone in a regular speaking voice standing 2 feet from the bassbin? anyway, the build out of the space at openair allows for sitting or dancing, and except for the pricey drinks, its a downright oasis for experimental and electronic music. when you guys come to new york, check this place out. and if this was not enough electro for one night, i-f rocked the cheeky fashionistas in the astor lounge basement with his patented mix of classics, italo, and booty shakers. as the voice has said, let a thousand parties live in this oppressive state of the city's culture. +d - To unsubscribe, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] For additional commands, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED]

why so surprised that contemporary ravers don't know who carl craig is? he doesn't make rave music, he doesn't play raves. 11 years ago a clued up raver could have been expected to have heard of him. but that's 11 years ago. in 1988 when i was bugging out to adonis and jarley jackmaster funk i didn't know who the hell some disco queen from 1977 like tana gardner or sylvester was. only old people knew who they were. james www.jbucknell.com davidcheng/@dongdubo.com davidcheng on 09/07/2001 10:51:36 AM To: miss lauryn g [EMAIL PROTECTED], 313@hyperreal.org cc:(bcc: James Bucknell/Magazines/Hearst) Subject: Re: [313] dodgy Canton promoters ...and those ravers are actually our next generation!! Re: [313] dodgy Canton promoters
oh it didn't surprise me as much as this kid asking kurt from drop bass if the second coming was his second party. gotta love dumb ohio promoters. especially ones that fall out of their limo coming to a party cuz they're in too big of a k hole. i just get a lil salty when dumb kids don't know the history. it's something i always felt obligated to learn. respect for the elders in a sense. knowing where it all comes from and having a good idea of where it is going. *shrugs* not just MY favorite music but a good comprehensive knowledge of music in general in the scene (and otherwise). not that i'm all well versed in opera or happy hardcore either, but i at least have SOME semblance of a clue in life. that's just me though and my approach on all things. of course i shouldn't expect others to do the same or be surprised if they don't care. i guess i just get disappointed. lauryn. - To unsubscribe, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] For additional commands, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED]

Hello, sorry to drag this topic on, but what the hell is planet raver? I think the Detroit scene has hit an all time low. Was this supposed to be a motor cross raver event? Just when you though the parties around could not get any trashier. No offense to Fred with these comments, but this whole thing sounded retarded. I think this is a prime example of how cheesy the whole scene has gotten.
