[313] has ne1 ever heard this track before
it is a really hypnotic house track with male vocals if i let you down, you can have the final word. you can listen to it at groovetech at: the track starts at about 27 minutes and plays for a while http://www.groovetech.com/PhoenixData/SilverStream/Pages/srvltRecMed?RecordedMediaID=68017 Any feedback is appreciated. I have scoured the web trying to get a hint on who this is. Thanks
RE: [313] throbbing gristle LP
Yeah, this is a good record. I play Hot On The Heels Of Love every so often on the show. You can really tell where Ersatz borrowed some of their ideas from. I still need to get a cd copy of Second Annual Report if for no other reason to have a copy of United on disc. The TG stuff has been reissued for awhile on cd, through the Mute: Gray Area series. DOA, and Heathen Earth are good too. One thing I do need to get my hands on is Wreckers Of Civilization. It is a telephone book sized Coum Transmissions/TG bio. The bit I read was good, I just need to get around to picking it up. The ReSearch books on TG are good as well, but nearly as comprehensive. I've got a little biscuit tin... mt From: Gwendal Cobert [EMAIL PROTECTED] Reply-To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] To: 313@hyperreal.org Subject: RE: [313] throbbing gristle LP Date: Wed, 16 Jan 2002 10:47:13 +0100 yup, probably their best album, there are a couple of killer early electro tracks in there... I think it was reissued on CD a couple of years ago by Mute, along with most of their catalogue. BTW, I've seen in The Wire that there should be a new Chris Cosey comp released, anybody got it ? and also, when is the great Tresor comp planned for ? [313] Track IDs - Mike Grant set
Hello oh wise peeps can anyone tell me the names of the following tracks from Mike Grant's set from the ABadMutha site. They go a little like this: There are people trying to ?, The extensions of ?, When the day is . ? Makes me feel so alive. Makes my life feel so alive x2. Thru the crowded streets where I have walked. Rushing past with only you. the other: Look in my eyes do you see me the way i see you. Look at me now, do you need me the way i need you. But it's not right for me to be there it's not right for me to care. Inside your soul do you desire to touch me. Inside your soul do you desire to caress me. Cause i do so deeply, want it so bad. [313] Ewan Pearson
Over Xmas I picked up a grip of records (reviews forthcoming), and one of the stand-out tracks was the Ewan Pearson remix of Russ Gabriel's We Will Be Turning. It's really smooth deep house with a healthy dose of gospel oh's and strings. Very different from the original. I've also checked his 12 on Merrick Brown's Chalant Music imprint. He really seems like a guy to watch. Any other releases I should be on the lookout for? I just ordered a bundle of 12 record pizza boxes (mailing boxes) from them. They do have a minimum order of, I think, $20 - otherwise there is a $4 fee. Beyond that their prices are pretty good and shippping (to most states in the US) is included in the price of the product. They've got everything to get your record collection clean, neat, organized, and sent away if you wish. You could also check his stuff as Maas for Soma, if you want. It's not Soma's strongest output, IMHO, though. There's an LP and a few 12s. All of which are entirely forgettable for me, as I can remember nowt about them. I think one of them has that Juan Is The Teacher track of which the name is best thing. Boy am I in a bad mood.
