[313] RE: track id - kevin saunderson in deep space DEMF bootleg
oh, and i'm also wondering about the techno tracks just before the end of the CD. one of 'em sounds like e-dancer but i'm not sure which track. i'd also like to know what the track immediately afterward is. brian -Original Message- From: Brian Dillard To: '313@hyperreal.org' Sent: 1/19/02 3:47 PM Subject: track id - kevin saunderson in deep space DEMF bootleg i'm wondering if folks could help me ID a couple of tracks from one of the KMS CDR bootlegs that were overflowing in record time's bins at DEMF time. from about the 22-minute mark to the 26-minute mark, kevin works the shit out of his filters on a track with a mostly spoken-word female vocal and a shuddering bass synth hook. the vocals go "remember back in the younger years we used to go to the parties and you'd stay up and you'd dance all night long because it was a marathon. it didn't matter what color you was. it was always ... eclectic. blacks, whites, puerto ricans, gays, you name it. everybody was out on the floor having a funky good time. hands in the air. you know what i mean? ... dj playin' one of my favorite songs ... throwin' my hands in the air having a real good time. this is for you, jack." then she starts actually singing, "i feel the music. i throw my hands in the air." --brian - To unsubscribe, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] For additional commands, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED]

[313] Baxter mix?
Any opinions on the Blake Baxter Globus mix that came out on Tresor a number of years ago with tracks by Basic Bastard etc. on it? I'm not a huge fan, but have a definite soft spot for "Visions of You" & that wicked old track on the Made in Detroit comp. Has this mix stood the test of time? [313] 1-18-02 Detroit
I have an acquaintance in town for the weekend asking for club/DJ type events for this evening. Normally I'd check the Metro Times site, but it seems to be down. I know what's up at Motor, but can anyone help out with other ideas for the evening? Thanks. jeff - To unsubscribe, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] For additional commands, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
[313] loft classics
Hi, I bought this mini-compilation called "loft classics vol. 11", tracks on it are: delirium, standing in the rain, how much are they. The strange thing is that there is no info of any producers or artists. So does anyone know who produced these songs? Thanks, Maarten - To unsubscribe, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] For additional commands, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED]

[313] 3D World Review of Sense's Fourier Transformations
Taken from this week's 3D World (Issue 587), which is Australia largest free weekly music magazine and will give you a very good indication of what it sounds like... FOURIER TRANSFORMATIONS SENSE (Aural Industries/Inertia) 4 out of 5 stars Melbourne based Sense can proudly join a vast array of local producers who prove you need not look overseas for quality electronica. With a distinct knack for creating slowly rising and layered melodies his tracks sit on the more ambient/down-tempo side of the fence. Fourier Transformations opens with a bit of an epically produced swirly piece of electronica. Held together with a dark bass melody the beats are frantically twisted and skittery while orchestral like snyths often seep out of the track. 'All Around Me' takes on a more minimal feel with a warm groove and occasional electronic stabs. This album displays a fullness of sound and doesn't go for the more playful poppy tunes many of Sense's contemporaries opt for. Sense has ability to slowly build up the track and then just as slowly take it apart, layer by layer. Towards the end of the CD Sense shows some of his dance floor sensibilities. A subtle take on techno with dark droning synths and child like vibes. It gets all complex and schitzo again before lush ambience rounds it out. An excellent release. - Anton Borsch Regards, John Aural Industries Pty Ltd http://www.aural-industries.com.au _ Send and receive Hotmail on your mobile device: http://mobile.msn.com - To unsubscribe, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] For additional commands, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
