[313] track ID

2002-07-06 Thread .m.

Hi all,

I recently saw Richie Hawtin in Vancouver, and he played a track that
caught my attention, and I was hoping someone would know what it was...

the most identifiable thing was a female vocal singing something like

"the music that you played..(something something)...right through my
mind"

not much to go on, sorry. any help would be appreciated.

regards,
Michael

They had copies for sale, I believe, at the Planet E wine tasting at Pure
Detroit last night, so yeah.

How did you manage to maneuver around to be able to SEE what was for sale??
:-) Did it thin out eventually?

RE: [313] Drexciya Radio Interview details?

2002-07-06 Thread Pond, Quest
It was done by Liz Copland for WDET FM back in May. If anyone is interested
we have a link to it on the front page of our Deespace website.

http://www.deepspace.net.au

This might also be a good time to briefly mention our upcoming 'deepspace'
party 'return to the 10th planet' in Sydney on August the 9th. Check web
site for details. More info will follow.

end transmission.

Ditto!

Very nice indeed. Definitely cruising in your car type stuff or chilling at
home or at the club. Downtempo done with style. Kudos!

Peace,

Classic indeed! You've created a very pleasant track with soothing
development featuring very nice chords and progression ala early Carl
Craig. It's the sort of track that you imagine you've heard "back in
the day" and it's imbibed with a sense of warm sentimentality. Nicely
played.

Excuse my ignorance, but who are Strand? Nick Calingaert (Common Factor,
ex-Planet E) has just put out the second release on his new label - Tactile
Music! The two should probably talk...

2000 Black's The Good Good 2 comp is apparently out in Japan already, so
can't be too far off for the rest of the world... Gilles Peterson's been
caning Mark de Clive-Lowe's track off it, which is a wicked broken beat soul
thang called "Relax... Unwind" (also coming out on 12", I believe).
