ATMOSPHERE: Fusing Creativity and Community
8/12/03

Join us for a night of live electronic music and video art with
performances by:
Twine feat / Phase 4 (Bip-Hop, Ghostly International)
Kero (Warp, Lowres, Ghostly International)
Matt Demmon (Eupholus, Trash Tapes)
Aarnio (Ghostly International)

ATMOSPHERE is an event intended to cultivate a productive interface
between artists and supporters of the Michigan underground and outsider
art communities. It is an opportunity for members of the creative
community to further the collective aims of the regional arts scene by
engaging collaborators and mentors in their area.

ATMOSPHERE provides an unconventional and compelling space for artists
to
display their work, commune with fellow artists and make valuable
industry

connections. They will have the opportunity to develop portfolios, meet
industry leaders and receive professional advice. A collection of
artwork

from the video, painting, photography and design disciplines will be
projected onto screens and selected pieces from Gallery 555 will be
mounted on the walls.

We are currently accepting submissions for September 17 and are always
accepting work for future shows.

Re: (313) n.e.w. Prince!

2003-08-09 Thread Cyclone Wehner
Did you know Prince was talking at one stage of working with S'Express? He
was quite a fan. I remember reading this years and years and years ago.
I really wanted to ask Mark Moore about that when he was out here, but I
don't think he did any press. Partying too hard, ha, ha!
I always think of Love Sexy as Prince's acid house era album - esp after the
reported 'E' experiment that led to the canning of The Black album. I never
understood why Prince fans disliked that album so much. I was a big fan of
Cat who did an album with Bomb The Bass, but it never came out. I really
loved that whole Love Sexy era.
