he's not being lazy, rather, it's the opposite. he's saying he can do much
more cutting it up, dj tricks, etc. with the cd than with vinyl.

But the convenience far outweighs the little sound that you may be
 missing.

Kinda sums it all up for me.
The little sound is the whole point of music for me.
 Welcome to todays lazy socity...

Oh and the other thing that annoys me is how much the BBC always pushes
these technologies from big companies. This isn't news, it's just doing
their advertising for them. Anyway, I'd better not get into a rant
about the tabloid style BBC news as I'll being going on for ever!

 Hello, y'all.

I was listening to WDTR's house show this afternoon on my way
home and heard Al Ester drop this track that I'm looking for more
information on. I'm assuming it's an old track, it's got a
spoken-word/rap vocal where each line is words are...fill in the
blank. Live bass, sounds like live timbales at points...

any ideas? c'mon you old-school house heads!

 Thanks,

 Hi.

I was wondering if anybody knew of PR peeps that represent (electronic
music) artists without a booking agency being tied in with it.

Maybe try RocketScience Media, or EPM.

Yeah. Try Electronic PM. Nick Craddock does a lot of their PR, especially
for [313]-related stuff, is a great guy, ex-[313er], very good writer and
has impecable taste. Can't really go wrong. They do have a booking side I
believe, but AFAIK the two are not *necesarilly* intertwined. Not sure if
that meets your criteria or not.

Re: (313) n.e.w. Prince!

2003-08-09 Thread Cyclone Wehner
Did you know Prince was talking at one stage of working with S'Express? He
was quite a fan. I remember reading this years and years and years ago.
I really wanted to ask Mark Moore about that when he was out here, but I
don't think he did any press. Partying too hard, ha, ha!
I always think of Love Sexy as Prince's acid house era album - esp after the
reported 'E' experiment that led to the canning of The Black album. I never
understood why Prince fans disliked that album so much. I was a big fan of
Cat who did an album with Bomb The Bass, but it never came out. I really
loved that whole Love Sexy era.
