I've spent the whole night cleaning that... I dont really know why, but on my computer this stuff has made my svchost.exe to crash at every startup. It was opened in I think '79/80, and I think it was maybe in Rimini. There was also one before that, opened around '76 time, owned by some millionaire playboy type dude. did a little google search, but its all in foreign languages, and lets face it, even my grasp of the english language is s**te, so I'm struggling. anyone know anything? or any links? ta. _ - End of message text This e-mail is sent by the above named in their individual, non-business capacity and is not on behalf of PricewaterhouseCoopers. Another article blaming Internet downloading for lowering of sales of the Record industry, when a lot of it is just bad business on Record labels end, and not knowing their fan bases. Why does an LP(album) cost $10 and the same CD (album) costs $15, when it is cheaper for the CD to be made then the record. Ringtones are quicker, cheaper and downloadable. Maybe if they made their music catalogs the same, they migh see the same effect. (313) OT? - jungle/db info TEX4 (UK help?)
Ok maybe there is some connection to Detroit in here somewhere I'm listening to Trance Europe Xpress 4 and there is a wicked track by DJ Crystl - Crystlized that has a very LTJ Bukem sound to it but maybe a tad more aggressive then most of his output I've always thought if Detroit ever developed a jungle/breakbeat scene - this is what it would have sounded like - instead there are people like Roni Size, Bukem, 4 Hero, and A Guy Called Gerald to do it. So what I'm wondering is - and maybe some UK heads can answer this for me - if I like this Crystl track - what are some other names/releases I could look for. In addition to Sean Deason (your tracks rock it) and the previously mentioned names. maybe hit me back off-list since it's sort of OT MEK

(313) Stacey Pullen's Vertigo vs. Derrick May's and System 7's Mysterious traveller
Is it just me or does the track listed on the first Transmat comp cd as the collaboration between May and Hillage sound awfully similar to (or just a stripped down version of) Stacey Pullen's Vertigo? The track on the cd comp almost sounds like the beats-only Mayday Mix of vertigo, as the System 7 Mix of Mysterious Traveller on the vinyl sampler sounds completely different than this one. Any clarification would be greatly appreciated. Wojtek

Another request for 313's champion spotters on behalf of a friend... Where does the vocal sample on 51 Days' deep house classic 'Paper Moon' on Touche come from? The one that goes: 'Enter a world of your deepest thoughts and desires. A world so deep, so liquid, emanating from your soul...' You can hear the vocal in question in isolation on this extract from an old Farley and Heller Essential mix... http://homepage.ntlworld.com/wjh2401/recordsale/enteraworld.mp3 They've obviously got hold of the original source that 51 Days sampled it from, but does anyone know what this original source is? Many thanks in advance... Tom
