Sounds useful - how does it do the line in? Presumably an adapter cable with a
3.5mm jack line socket to proprietary connector on
the phone?

 Toby...

Are you using Rockbox? That should address those problems. I use
 Rockbox
 on my iRiver exclusively.
It is far better - especially for recording. And yes, Ken, it can
record
 wavs (amongst other
 things).

I keep think about buying a fancy new slim mp3 player, but I have yet
 to
 find anything as good as
my sturdy iRiver. Plus, it is large and heavy enough to be used in
hand to
 hand combat :)

Hang on, did someone say it records wavs post the upgrade?

The only thing about the H320 is that it will cut out after a certain

time at higher kbps rates of recording and you can't monitor the

It does record tho ive rarely used it.

I can speak up for its :
 robustness - its tough
reliability - not one disk crash or glitch with 3 yrs of almost daily

use sound - one of the best for an mp3 player

The Rockbox upgrade works wonder apparently.

Toby...

Are you using Rockbox? That should address those problems. I use Rockbox on my
iRiver exclusively.
It is far better - especially for recording. And yes, Ken, it can record wavs
(amongst other
things).

I keep think about buying a fancy new slim mp3 player, but I have yet to find
anything as good as
my sturdy iRiver. Plus, it is large and heavy enough to be used in hand to hand
combat :)

N

Hang on, did someone say it records wavs post the upgrade? Interesting
 ...

The only thing about the H320 is that it will cut out after a certain
time at higher kbps rates of recording and you can't monitor the levels.

It does record tho ive rarely used it.

I can speak up for its :
 robustness - its tough
reliability - not one disk crash or glitch with 3 yrs of almost daily
use sound - one of the best for an mp3 player

The Rockbox upgrade works wonder apparently.

The European version of the iRiver H320/340 comes highly recommended,
we've recorded everyone (well everyone who agreed...) from DJ Bone,
Akufen, Stefan Roberts/Terrace, UR, local producers, local dj's and even
the occasional D1SCO, at least 90% of The Archiver sets.

Sounds useful - how does it do the line in? Presumably an adapter cable with a
3.5mm jack line socket to proprietary connector on
the phone?
